New European regulations: The new European norm DIN EN 15635 and industrial safety
regulations specify regular rack inspections by an expert. The association for storage
technology and warehouse equipment trains rack-inspectors, who conduct annual safety
inspections.
Responsibility for occupational safety
According to occupational safety regulations, the employer is responsible for the
safety of his storage systems. Racks must be inspected by a competent person at least
once every 12 months.
